Parent Chronicles: Bridging the Gap

Do you ever feel the need to bridge the gap between you and your teen?  Between the fast-paced world of teen culture and the negative influences that bombard your teen, parenting is a challenging and unpredictable task.

To help you as you navigate the world that is your teen’s life, TheAntiDrug.com has developed the Parent Chronicles.  The Chronicles project encourages parents to immerse themselves into their teen’s life -- from the internet to real life -- and in turn, learn what really influences their child.

We invite you to enter into the Parent Chronicles with the right frame of mind. Snooping and hovering over our children is not the goal. The goal is to encourage better communication, responsible parenting and to protect our children from drug and alcohol use.

Read on!

There are three steps to the Parent Chronicles:

1. TAKE ACTION: Dig in and learn a little more about your teen’s world. Complete one or more of these fun, but insightful, tasks.

2. TALK ABOUT IT: Once you have completed your Action Items, share what you learned with other parents in our Parent-to-Parent Forum.

3. CLOSE THE GAP: It's time to find out what you can do to close the gap between you and your teen. Check out our advice for parents.
