The Parent Chronicles project encourages parents to immerse themselves into their teen’s life – from the Internet to real life -  and in turn, learn what really influences their child. Our goal is to encourage better communication, good parenting, and to protect our children from drug and alcohol use.

1. TAKE ACTION: Dig in and learn a little more about your teen’s world. Complete one or more of these fun, but insightful, tasks.

2. TALK ABOUT IT: Once you have completed your Action Items, share what you have learned with other parents in our Parent-to-Parent Forum.

3. CLOSE THE GAP: It’s time to find out what you can do to close the gap between you and your teen. Check out our advice for parents.





Teens prefer spending time with family

When asked “What makes you most happy?” the most popular response from surveyed teens included spending time with family, according to a new poll from the Associated Press and MTV.
