The United Way of America (UWA) included the Media Campaign's parent brochure, Keeping Your Kids Drug-Free: A How-To Guide for Parents and Caregivers, in the information packet distributed to all employees during open enrollment. In continuing its support of the Parents@Work program, the UWA’s Department of Labor Participation sent a message to more than 200 AFL-CIO Community Service Liaisons about the Parents@Work program and Campaign resources. UWA’s AFL-CIO Community Service Liaisons also received marijuana prevention articles as a part of the Campaign’s “Gift of Time” initiative. UWA also sent e-mail parenting tips to employees for “Schools Out,” “Back to School,” and the “Gift of Time” Campaign initiatives. UWA has 1,400 community-based United Way organizations across the country with the mission of improving people's lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities.
